The Society meets at 7.30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. The normal venue is Westgate Church Hall (opposite the Queensgate Bus Station). Doors open at 7.OOpm and before the meeting our resident ‘Expert’ is available if people need help.

Visitors are welcome to come and ‘dip a toe in the water’. We aim to have our Bookstall and Library open and there is the Notice Board and Family History literature to browse. Some meetings involve practical project sessions and others will be a talk. At the end of the meeting refreshments are available.

In the summer we usually have two trips out instead of meeting at Westgate and the months vary from year to year. The AGM is held in May each year. The future programme is printed in the Journal in addition to the web site.
